Target Port Charlotte FL POOR REVIEW

(From a Target Customer)

First I would like to say I am a Target addicted mother! If I can live in a Target I would.
Today in Port Charlotte at the Target store I took my two girls (ages 9 and 3 years old) and I shopping this late afternoon.

I just recently got out of the hospital after spending weeks in there and was diagnosed with a rare form of lupus and a rare blood vessel auto immune disease.
I am practically bedridden until they can figure out the proper medicine to put me on. With very little activity and no sun exposure my doctor gave me the approval to go shopping.
With my rare blood vessel disease, if I have to much activity, it can inflame any vessel in my body to where I internally bruise, which can become lethal if it were to happen in my lungs or heart. So any activity I do has to be very limited. Due to this rare lupus I have, my body is practically allergic to the sun. Just minutes out in any sunlight makes me very ill with severe flu like symptoms.

Today August 27 2013 I was having a good day and thought tonight I will take my girls shopping. This would make my 2nd shopping trip since being out of the hospital.

At 8:00pm my daughters and I stepped into our favorite store we like to shop at, Target! We were on mission to find mommy some pretty umbrellas, sun hats, and pretty throw blankets to start out mommies new life adjusting to no sun life. I then got myself a motorized shopping cart. I then placed my 3 year old daughter in the basket part. I sat there and explained to my 3 year old you can not stand up or move around at all. You will get hurt and get a booboo. She then agreed sat there very good and played on her iPad while mommy was shopping. About 30 minutes into mommies shopping we had a target employee yell at us from the end of a aisle saying "mam you have to take your child out of that cart please". I looked at her and replied back "I'm sorry but she is safe here and she isn't going to move. I promise". She the said "ok" and walked away. I then went about my shopping with my girls... My 9 year old and I started trying on new sun hats. As we are trying them on two target employees one male and one female came up to me stating this. The female was the one doing the talking she said " excuse lady." I then turned around and said "yes mam can I help you" she replied "you need to removed your daughter from that basket area it is not safe for her to be in there" I then replied back "mam I have her in there because I a internally sick with a very rare disease that can kill me. I can not run after her or try pushing another cart. So i put her in this and explained to her no moving around or standing up because she can get hurt or even mommy can. Can you please allow me to have her in there so I can finishing shopping. I promise she will just sit here like she is and just play on her iPad" the woman target employee replied with "nope I don't care you can not have her in that part. Please remove her now or I'll have to call the law on you" a little floored by her respond I said "please mam I'm very sick and can not chase after her. If she can't sit in this basket can you please have him (pointing to the other target employee who was a male that was standing there) or another employee help me shop around your store and so i can make sure my daughter won't run off?" Target lady said "Absolutely not. If you don't take her out I will have to take further action" at this point I was a little upset and said "mam this is absurd I am internally sick and have no other way to safely shop with my younger daughter. If so it can possibly kill me. I am sure you don't go around harping on other customers about how there children should be seated.. This is crazy! So your telling me I can't keep her in the basket safety and now your telling me you can't even have a fellow employee help me shop around your store?" Her reply was "mam this is the last time I'm going to tell you. Please remove your child. This is private property and we have rules we have to abide by. I can not allow her to be in there. " At this time my 9 year old daughter said "wow mommy she is really mean" the lady then replied to my 9 year old and told her to "Be quiet, you don't need anything to say regarding this matter adult matter" I then told her "mam please do not tell my daughter what to do. I can take care of her myself thank you." I then asked her "Can you please go get me corporate phone number and write down your full name on this paper. I am very upset with your lack of customer service and how rude you are" she then sent off the male employee as we sat there. He comes back and gives me a card with the numbers on it. I then ask "her can you please write down your name for me" she replies and points to her name tag "this is my name. All you need to know." I then said "I would like your last name because I'm sure there could be more then one Stacey here. My family and I do PI work I'm not some stalker and I'm sure I could get your full name if I needed it, but out of respect can you at least do this for me?" She replied "Nope" and walked away.

At this time I was a little shocked over how rude this woman was to me.. My daughter wanted to go home because she was upset and didn't want mommy to possibly hurt herself shopping. I assured my girls that its ok mama is a strong and we will continue to shop. It was my 2nd time out shopping and I wasn't going to let one grumpy employee ruin our shopping night together.

For another hour in a half we shopped. Tried on clothes, shoes, acted silly, and before we knew it we heard over the Intercom "good evening guest. Our store will be closing in 20 minutes. Please gather your belongings and meet us at that cash registers. Thank you for shopping with us tonight at Target". We had one more thing to look at. Had to get my older daughter a dress for church this Sunday.. While looking over the Intercom we heard the something again but it was 10 mins left until the store was closing and that all resisters will be closing. We didn't find a dress, so we went up and paid for all of our stuff. $120.75 worth

10:00 pm going outside to my car an employee follows us out there. She was actually my cashier. She asked " can you please get out of the cart mam so she could take it in?" Very nice lady. I replied "is it ok I drive it to the car so I don't have to walk with the bags." She said "absolutely hun" I then told her "thank you so much for bringing it back in for me. I was actually going to send my daughter back up so you didn't have to come out" she then replied "oh no mam it's my pleasure" and drove it back up.

After getting loaded up we then sat in the parking lot waiting for my sister who was going to meet us at the Denny's that is right in front of the Target.. While sitting there I noticed that all the employees where not coming outside and were just watching us... So I decided to drive down a few ways and park closer to the Denny's. While doing that little drive on the other side of target I drove past a few cars and wrote down the tag numbers of the cars sitting there. I did this so when I got home I could look them up and possibly figure out this rude employees last name to report the worst experience I have ever had at a Target.
After that I pulled further down the parking lot so I was closer to the Denny's waiting for my sister. As we are sitting there my nine year old points out "hey mommy look all the employees are standing outside just looking at us". She then was getting scared and said "mommy I want to go home and skip Denny's. why are they watching us like that" I told my daughter "just play on your iPad and wait for your aunt she should be here very soon" Well before we know it two cops cars pull up to us. My daughter starts crying thinking something horrible is about to happen. The police officer comes up to us asking me what I was doing. "I replied just got done shopping and now sitting down here with my girls waiting for my sister to meet us at Denny's" he then proceed to tell me that the situation that happened at Target is why he is here and the employee wants a Trespassing order put against me. I was speechless and told him exactly what happen on my behalf. He said that they already talked to the lady and thought it was rather silly she wanted this trespassing order. He said "I tried talking her out of it because I don't feel it is something to trespass a woman and her children for. You didn't cause a scene or anything and you even shopped there hour after the Incident". I replied back "yah this is ridiculous!" He then said " i am sorry mam. She would not change her mind" Even though he disagreed to her decision, he by law had to issue me the trespassing order, because she wanted it..

I am sickened and utterly sadden by the actions that where taken upon on this night Aug. 27 2013! I do not feel it was a fair judgement, nor do I feel it was right her treating my family and I this way!

I have been a Target shopping mother ever since I had my son who is 12 years old. I have shopped in this Port Charlotte Target almost everyday Sunday and pop in a few times a week to get some Starbucks. I did all this until my days leading up to when I got hospitalized. This was my first time back and unfortunately my last. I am very sadden by this and pray to God that there is some type of action that can be handled against her. I feel I should not have been trespassed, and certainly should have never been treated in such a Inhumane heartless way. This is total discrimination, because she thought I was some young girl probably fooling around.

I wasn't not! Once she explained to me "why" my daughter could not be in the cart, I understood. So I asked for assistance.! 2 days before this I was at my local Publix. This time I had my daughter on my lap. I went up to the front desk and asked for assistance then. Without question Publix had a young man follow with me through the whole store, and also helped me outside. That's great customer service!

This Target employee I found out goes by the name of Stacey Hannon who has worked there many years.

I am humiliated, upset, and feel this was an act of discrimination, because I'm just some young looking girl who has kids.

I need help to take action and get my rights back as being a Target shopping mother!!! This was utterly unacceptable behavior! No customer should ever have to go through! I am now also getting emails from random people who have worked with this woman or have been harassed by her.. Everyone is saying she is a very rude and nasty person.

36 Skate Club Piqua Ohio Neutral Review

We have been to 36 Skate Club in Piqua, Ohio twice now. The first time we went we had a blast. They were very friendly and the price was amazing. 36 Skate Club offers on Thursday Nights from 6:30-9:00 pm for parents to skate for FREE with their children.

As I stated above we had a blast the first time we were there. My children couldn't stop talking about all the fun that they had, and they couldn't wait to go back. I myself love skating and for the price it is a very nice evening out with the children.

Last night we talked my sister into going with us, so that she could enjoy the fun with us. I was taken back when I went to pay this time. For last time I only paid for my children to skate and for their skate rentals.

This time I had to pay for my skates in order to skate. Skate rentals are $1.50 and we were already there, so I brushed it off. But it still upset me that I was told last time that on Thursday Night's parents skate for FREE with their children. And last time I didn't have to pay for my skate rental.

The last time we were there we were told that a cup of water with ice was FREE from the snack bar. This time is was NOT free. It was $0.15 per cup this time. This on top of me having to pay for my skate rental was not in the plan for the evening.

I found this to be odd that things would have changed in just 2 weeks. There was a different woman running the ticket window/snack bar this time, but it shouldn't depend on who is working on the price that you pay.

It was a little busier this Thursday then the last Thursday we had come to 36 Skate Club. So, my 9 year old daughter was knocked into by a grown man. He is one that looks to be a regular there. I will give him and the worker on the floor credit, for they both made sure she was ok. But the time I got to her they had left her and no one came over to me while she was crying in my arms. I do feel that when it comes to children they should also talk to the parent that is there with them. This is just my personal feeling on the matter. As we all know when skating at any rank there is the risk of running into something while skating. And I wanted to point out that no one was unfriendly. I just felt that they should have come to me as well, as they saw me go right up to her.

A half hour or so before we left I was with my sister and older children on the skating rank. My two younger children where in the game room. Everything is all nice and open so you can still see your children while they are in there. This is another nice part of 36 Skate Club. My younger children were standing at a game, and my youngest daughter slipped and hit her head on a block/bench. She fell to the ground after hitting her head of the edge of the block/bench. A young man came over to help her, which I felt was very nice. As it seems that a lot of the people that we see there are friends and family. The young man went and told the ticket window/snack bar lady, and she rushed over to us to make sure she was ok. She also got her a bag of ice for her head and a bottle of water to help claim her down.

We all know that children can fall at times. And with being on skates we all know that it is easier to fall. But I feel that the block/bench should not have been where it was located at. The block/bench was way to close to the game. This could have happened to anyone, and it could have been a lot worse. I thank God that is was not. After looking around I saw that this was the only block/bench that was NOT covered by carpet. This too was upsetting. For not only was this item NOT in the correct place, but it also was the only one that wasn't covered by carpet. Hmm makes you wonder what it was doing there in the first place?

With all this said, I still feel that 36 Skate Club is a nice place to take your children. But that they may want to all be on the same page when it comes to prices. And I feel that block/bench needs to be removed from the area. I am sure if they feel that they need the item, they can find a better place for it. Along with putting carpet on it. The carpet is there so if you do fall on it, the blow and pain will not be as bad.

So.. We are only offering a Neutral Review in this case. Looking forward to a good review in the near future.
